Oceanside, CA, January 30, 2018 -- Brewbies® is excited to announce the first ever Brewbies® Pink Beer Award Competition that will take place at the 9th Annual Brewbies Festival on Saturday, February 10th, 2018 from 1pm-5pm in Oceanside, CA. Hosted by Bagby Beer Company, the festival will bring together icons of the craft brewing industry to showcase their rare, small-batch beers. The festival benefits The Keep A Breast Foundation (KAB), an organization dedicated to empowering young people around the world with breast health education and support. 100% of the proceeds will go directly to KAB’s Check Yourself! Program, their primary educational program that provides educational information on breast health and cancer prevention.

The Festival will feature over 40 craft breweries, including Automatic Brewing Co., Artifex Brewing Co., Bagby Beer Company, Boneyard Beer, Noble Ale Works, Faction Brewing Co., Owl Farm, The Lost Abbey, Russian River Brewing., Societe Brewing Co., and Three Weavers to name a few.

To honor the hard-work, dedication, and support from the participating breweries, we’ve created the first ever Brewbies® Pink Beer Award Competition. The competition features two categories, “Overall Best Pink Beer” and “People’s Choice.” Each brewery will enter one pink beer, of any style, to be judged by a panel of award winning brewers and craft beer aficionados during the VIP hour of the Brewbies Festival and throughout the festival by craft beer lovers and festival goers. Winners will be announced Saturday evening after the festival.

“I could not be more excited about the Brewbies Pink Beer Awards,” says Brewbies founder, Melanie Pierce. “This festival means so much to me personally and I am so grateful for all of the breweries who have contributed over the past 9 years. We created these awards as a fun and unique way to raise awareness and show how grateful we are for everything the craft beer community has done to support KAB.”

“Since our inception 17 years ago, Keep A Breast has been dedicated to meeting young people where they are--places like music festivals and action sports events--to encourage them to participate and learn about breast health in environments where they’re already comfortable,” said Shaney jo Darden, KAB founder. “The craft brewing industry continues to play an integral role in supporting KAB. Funds raised from this event will allow us to get potentially life-saving information into the hands of young people through our Check Yourself! app.”
